Once Loved Dress Sale
Every few months, we take to the road with our fantastic Once-Loved Dress Sales. We hold them in various venues throughout the country, which gives you every opportunity to show off your dress to brides-to-be. We also offer local wedding suppliers the opportunity to showcase their services, because we know that brides like to shop.
Our next event is taking place in the Limerick Strand Hotel on Sunday September 12th. Click here for details on the Limerick Dress Sale
How it Works:
If You’re Selling
If you’re a bride and want to sell your dress, you can register your dress online before the event. This will save you time when you’re dropping off your dress. Alternatively, you can fill in a Dress Registration Form when you drop off your dress. We ask you to drop off your dress the day before the sale or on the morning of the sale itself. Please take your dress cover or bridal bag away with you, as we do not have the space to store them.
From this point on, we take charge of your dress. We keep track of your dress with a dress ID tag. On the day, a member of staff will supervise the fittings to make sure the dresses aren’t forced, or stained with fake tan. You can be sure that your beloved wedding dress is in good hands.
Because we look after your dress, you don’t have to wait around until it’s sold. You can just stroll in afterwards to collect the proceeds. Be sure to bring the dress cover with you, just in case you aren’t successful on this occasion.
There is a non-refundable fee of €25 to register your dress. A 10% commission charge applies to all sales.
If You’re Buying
If you’re a bride to be, you’re welcome at any time while the sale is happening. If the Sale is busy, we will give you a numbered ticket and you will be seen in order. When you arrive, you will be given five coloured rings. When you have matched the rings to five dresses of your choice, we will show you to the next available fitting room.
A fitting-room attendant will help you put on and fasten your dress. If the dress you’ve chosen is a little too big or too small, a dressmaker will be on hand to give advice on alterations. Make sure you inspect your dress fully before you decide to buy, as no refunds will be given.
If you fall in love with one of the dresses and decide to buy, the attendant will wrap it and take it to the cash desk. We only accept cash and you will need to make a full payment on the day. After that, you’re free to take it to its new home.
No fake tan is permitted whilst trying on dresses. Gloves are provided and must be worn when in contact with the dresses.
